Regular Season Round 21: VKM - Lanciano 77-83

Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked LithuanianVKM (0-8) lost to 41th ranked Italian Lanciano (5-3) 77-83 on Friday. Lanciano trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 47-36 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Lanciano dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to VKM 's 30. Tommaso Petrelli nailed a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and Brice Pounouko accounted for 13 points and 14 rebounds. Four Lanciano players scored in double figures. Lanciano's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Andrej Gusev came up with 24 points and 5 rebounds and Lukas Vilimavicius added 15 points and 12 rebounds respectively for VKM in the defeat. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Lanciano . They moved-up to twenty second place, which they share with 10 other teams. VKM lost their eighth game in a row. They still close the standings with eight games lost. They share the position with Stiinta and ACS Alpha.
